Self-Guiding

Please contact the site to cancel your booking if you are not going to attend as places are in high demand. Visitors found to have made double-bookings will be denied entry as per our Terms and Conditions.

The self-guided visit takes approx. 40 minutes. We have implemented timed entry for visitors and a quota of people per hour to spread the number of visitors safely throughout the day.

Tickets bought from other websites- including ticketing resale platforms -will not be valid and such ticket-holders will be refused entry.

Online bookings can be made up to 15 days in advance. In the interest of safety, we cannot allow group visits. Any groups who purchase online tickets will be refused entry.

Guided Tours

Guided Tours take approximately 70 minutes and include a visit to the State Rooms, Viking Excavation and the Chapel Royal.
